A queer.obj

A webcam session with our fluid digital bodies.

a queer.obj is an interdisciplinary performance that merges visual theatre, performance art, and digital design in a poetic investigation of identity in the age of data. The work explores what happens when our bodies, emotions, and desires are translated into digital form; and how queer stories can exist, transform, or glitch within that space.

Using 3D scanning, live performance, and interactive interfaces, the piece invites the audience into a hybrid environment where physical gestures become digital textures, and personal narratives are rendered into code. Between the seductive glow of the screen and the vulnerability of the live body, a queer.obj reflects on what it means to exist both online and offline, to be visible yet undefined.

It’s a sensorial, experimental encounter: intimate, playful, and unsettling. Which parts of ourselves do we upload, and which do we choose to leave behind?
