1. Refers to the Rotterdam-based performance cartel that operates within the tension of disruption, counter-culture and nocturnal energy.
2. Symbolizes the fusion of rebellious defiance (rel) and the playful, transformative power of the night (nacht).
3. Derived from the Dutch word “relnicht”. Originally a slur for flamboyant queer people, later reclaimed as a badge of pride.
