Education

Characteristics: One of the key elements of RELNACHT is the friendship between founder Didi Kreike and co-founder Lodewijk van Dijk, and the overlap in their artistic practices. Together they combine theater and nightlife, from both an academic and more practical approach. This has resulted in a RELNACHT-method which is camp and cross-disciplinary, playful and radical, safe but challenging.

Setting: At our educational partners we guide student groups in their artistic process through workshops and rehearsals, mostly resulting in a performance presentation. Elements that we work on are: the differences between ‘acting’ and ‘performing’, holding a safe space relying on discomfort, practicing failure as a performative power and allowing yourself to have as much fun as possible. 

Duration: From one day teachings till year round involvement

Audience: students have active participation; from teeners till boomers with an open mind set.
