It’s time for the makers and members of DOX to show what they’ve been working on over the past few months. With the passionate creators Lodewijk van Dijk & Didi Kreike and Justin de Jager, Sem Deliveyne & Andreas Tegnander, they have managed to create a stunning show. While one DOX’er enters as a film actor and immerses themselves in the specific movement language of threading, another experiences working with text for the very first time. Stepping off the beaten path and out of one’s comfort zone, they rediscover their own strength through a new stage experience.

When does connection turn into control?
CROWD CONTROL is a bold exploration of the power, beauty, and danger of group behavior. Performance makers Lodewijk van Dijk and Didi Kreike from the collective R3LN4CHT join forces with the DOX performers to dive into what it truly means to form — and to control — a crowd.
Together, they experiment with the physical, emotional, and psychological forces that arise when individuals merge into a collective. How do bodies respond to each other? When does connection turn into control? And what happens when the balance between freedom and order begins to crumble?
The performance examines the visible and invisible structures that shape how we move together — from the clear boundaries of fences and barriers to the more subtle mechanisms of social pressure, influence, and manipulation. Is the real danger hidden within the crowd itself, or in the human urge to dominate and direct it?
Through a mix of physical performance, movement, and theatrical tension, CROWD CONTROL reveals how control can easily slip away, giving rise to unpredictable and electrifying moments of chaos.
