Panic Paradise takes you to a world where those who deviate from the norm are seen as dangerous.

From cultural wars in the classroom and online to the global stage, fear of the different is growing, along with the violence it breeds. How do we prevent treating each other as aliens? How can we listen to each other instead of silencing voices? How do we build a future where every voice matters?

In this futuristic tale about identity and fear, two performers bring to life the dreams, thoughts, and daily experiences of being different, as written by young people specifically for this project. They shift between recognizable pop culture types—the fitboy, the influencer, the politician, the celebrity—each facing 'the unknown.' What are they truly afraid of?

PARTICIPATIVE COLLAB

Young people play a crucial role in creating this performance. In the lead-up, they craft choreographies, performance acts, and rap/poetry about fighting for identity, transforming fear of the other, and imagining hopeful futures. Their words, energy, and moves culminate in a blend of science fiction film and pop concert, complete with stirring music and dynamic visuals.
